TRADITIONAL VESTMENTS

Monastery Made Vestments was established to meet the needs of Clergy in need of reverent, dignified and quality vestments. Sadly, many vestments are made of man-made materials and the cost can still be very high. There is one chasuble made by a European studio that has very magnificent embroidery all over it. The cost is over $14,000. It is made out of Viscose, a material made from wood pulp.

Liturgical vestments used for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy should represent the best of our ability and the best of our resources. For this reason, it is most appropriate to use silk or damask for the making of sacred vestments.

The desire to make quality and dignified vestments and the desire to make vestments that are less costly has led to the creation of Monastery Made Vestments.

The approach of Monastery Made Vestments is to locate sources of quality natural fabrics that are less costly and make sacred vestments with prayer and devotion.
